Study description

While the LFS, SILC and NES data provides detailed, nationally representative, data on the labor market status and income changes, since they are not particularly designed to analyze COVID-19 effects, they cannot capture all the relevant information. To that end, a survey was conducted on the nationally representative sample of employees that complemented the analysis within this WP and identify additional risk factors / coping mechanisms used in the times of the crisis. The new survey aimed to collect the data on: 1) take up of and attitudes towards measures implemented by the government, 2) job characteristics and job-associated risks (diseases exposure and physical proximity to other people at work, ability to work from home, etc.); 3) impact on productivity (working hours restrictions, digital literacy competencies, and skills; fulfillment of work tasks during the crisis, subjective assessment etc.); 4) division of household choirs and child care and 5) coping strategies and health risks undertook during the epidemic in order to financially provide for their families (starting to work on jobs which are associated with health risks, health risks during job search etc.) and 6) well-being and health of workers (were they exposed to the virus, subjective well-being, stress factors, etc.).
