Study description

The project’s overall goal was to provide relevant stakeholders (business professionals and policy-makers in Serbia and the Western Balkans) with sound scientific knowledge of Serbian employee work values while attempting to rethink the strategies and policies for social change in the region. Three basic sectors were divided into 8 subsectors in order to thoroughly cover the myriad of contexts involved in searching for possible influences on wage-earner work values. These eight subsectors are comprised of binaries: Domestic and foreign non-profit organisations; public institutions and state-owned enterprises; for-profit privatised enterprises with domestic and foreign ownership; and private enterprises with domestic and foreign ownership. We have applied cluster sampling. The study employs both quantitative and qualitative approaches, including a survey, focus groups and media monitoring and analysis. The project also includes the creation and dissemination of policy recommendations based on the research findings and other scientific references.
